Driver Education

FHS Driver Education: The FHS 2026 Summer Driver Education pricing will be $345 per student this year and registration is now open for Flushing students on a first come, first serve basis for the first 120 students. Registration will close when the classes fill and then a waitlist will begin after that.  Registration will close on Friday, April 10th  after Spring Break.  The $345 cost covers BOTH Segment 1 and Segment 2. Students must be 14 years and 8 months of age by the first day of class (Birthday on or before Oct. 4, 2011). All information and registration forms can be found on the FHS website under the Driver Education tab.  Each of these forms must be completed and turned in (together) to the high school guidance office to secure a spot.  Payments can be made by check, cash, or Flushing e-funds.

DRIVER EDUCATION SEGMENT 2 SCHEDULE
Register in the Guidance Office for one of the three-day sessions below.
Times for Segment 2 on all days listed below will be 3:00-5:00 p.m. in room 604.

If you took Segment 1 at FHS last summer, Segment 2 is included at no additional cost.  If you took Segment 1 elsewhere or before last summer, the cost is $50.

Students must attend ALL three days in the session they sign up for.

2025-2026 school year Segment 2 schedule:

You are required to practice driving for at least 30 hours, including at least 2 hours of night driving, before you can enroll in Segment 2.  You will also need to show proof of hours and your Segment 1 license at the time of registration.
